Muscle Memory and Aim Consistency (cm/360)

Your aim relies on physical motor skills built up over hours of gaming. This is referred to as **muscle memory**, which is chemically stored in your brain based on the physical distance your hand must slide your mouse to make a 360-degree turn in-game. This absolute distance is measured in **cm/360** (centimeters per 360 rotation).

When you switch between games (e.g. CS2 to Valorant or Overwatch 2), matching this absolute cm/360 distance ensures that your flicks and tracking feel identical, preventing you from throwing off your aim.

How to Convert Sensitivity Between Games

Each game engine scales sensitivity settings using unique internal multipliers. To match your sensitivity, use these standard conversion ratios:

  • CS2 / Apex Legends to Valorant: Divide your CS2/Apex sensitivity by 3.1818.
  • Overwatch 2 to Valorant: Divide your Overwatch sensitivity by 10.6.
  • Valorant to CS2 / Apex Legends: Multiply your Valorant sensitivity by 3.1818.

What is eDPI and How is it Calculated?

**eDPI (effective Dots Per Inch)** is a single metric that represents your total hardware and software sensitivity combined. This makes it easy to compare your absolute sensitivity with pro players regardless of your mouse DPI:

eDPI = Mouse DPI × In-Game Sensitivity

For example, if you run 800 DPI with a Valorant sensitivity of 0.4, your eDPI is **320**. If you switch to 1600 DPI, you would adjust your sensitivity to 0.2 to maintain the same 320 eDPI and the same hand-movement distance.

SENSITIVITY CONVERSION FAQ

Does Field of View (FOV) affect my converted sensitivity?

Yes. While your physical hand movement (cm/360) remains identical after conversion, different games use different FOVs which changes the visual scale of your movements. Valorant has a locked 103° horizontal FOV, while Apex and CS2 allow adjustment, which can make identical cm/360 sensitivities feel slightly different visually.

Is eDPI comparable between different games?

No. eDPI is only comparable within the same game (e.g. comparing Valorant eDPI). Because CS2 and Valorant scale sensitivity multipliers differently, a 400 eDPI in CS2 is vastly different from a 400 eDPI in Valorant.
